Jorn Utzon gave Australia and the world somthing that is visually beautiful, nationally representative of our country and globally an icon that will last for the world to see for centurys into the futre. It is to the modern world what we see in the ancient worlds Pyramids and will be remembered so for all time.

Words alone can't express the admiration for the "one of a kind" architecture you have build for the people of Australia.

Even though I not a local, ever time I visit Sydney, the Sydney Opera House is a MUST visit. Few architect can claim to have build real masterpieces recognised worldwide.

Sydney Opera House = Australia = John Utzon.

My respects to the man who designed the Sydney Opera House, an absolutely magnificent building, which is truly iconic and timeless.

The Opera House is an inspired and inspiring building which has enriched my life and made Sydney a more beautiful place. Every glimpse of it, whether from the many vistas around the harbour or right up close, lifts the spirits. Highly original and structurally daring, it is a poetic solution to a very complex brief…very much ahead of its time.

I am a regular visitor to Sydney and my first trip is always to the Sydney Opera House.
There is for me no other building in the world to which I feel more attracted.

I'm glad to have attended the state memorial for Joern Utzon. This unusual design of the building would give anyone an eye-opening impact in mind. I work just opposite to the Opera House. I have a walk frequently along the north shore water line. Every time during such a walk, I thank him for creating such a wonder for us, for me to appreciate each day.

Quite simply, our opera house is a work of art of historical magnitude. Importantly & wonderfully, all of us, rich or poor, have ownership of it, and this is so appropriate to how Australians think things ought to be! I wish I had been able to cross off my To Do list, the personal letter to Jorn Utzon expressing love for the building and the journey he endured to bring it into being.
